Alarms regardless of what you are using works on the same set of principal. You set the time you want Alarm to ring and then wait until that specific time. In smartphones like iPhone there are also options now to use vibration and haptics which can only helps to wake you up if you’d have the phone close to you.

So like consider this you are talking to your girlfriend on Facetime and then suddenly your Alarm is set off. You will get mini notification and after dealing with it you can go back to your call. Needless to say this work for both calls from iOS and non-iOS devices.

What About The Person On Facetime? Can They Hear Alarm?

9 out of 10 times the person you are calling or talking to won’t hear your Alarm. Sometimes though your call might get paused which will let them know of an event (or disturbance depends on how you choose to see it) from your side, but even then it is not a bid deal. One click on pause button and you are back to call with them.

Only Instances When Alarm Won’t Go Off?

So, while Alarm on your iPhone will set off every time without an issue, even if you would be on silent or DND mode the only time Alarm won’t go for you is when your phone won’t be on. So, imagine you set the Alarm for 6 AM in morning but unfortunately by the end of night your iPhone or phone switched off.

Now, in this particular case the Alarm won’t go off and you might even end up missing the work or whatever you’d to do in morning. Therefore, it is very important that you make sure your iPhone is charged enough before you go to sleep.

Turn Off The Alarm & Get Peace!

Although if you want to turn off the Alarm by choice then it is just as simple as it is to turn on it in the first place. Open the Clock application on your phone navigate to Alarm section and there you will see all the Alarms you’d set in past, if you want to switch it off, just toggle it off.
