Get The Return Authorization To Claim Warranty

To claim the warranty you will need return authorization. You can think of it as the permission from Fitbit which will tell you if they are willing to fix your device or not. For people in U.S there is dedicated Return page you can use to file your complain as for others Fitbit suggests that you contact the support and provide them with details regarding your claim.

A Fitbit representative will look into your claim and if they will deem it credible you will be issued return authorization with address information where you would’ve to send your Fitbit device. While 90% of the time it will be your responsibility to pay the fee of delivery career sometimes Fitbit can offer to do it, in which case ask first if they are willing to do it. Fitbit Protection Plan is external package which will give your newly purchased Fitbit with 2 years of Warranty. You can buy it from the Fitbit app. All the newly purchased Fitbit trackers once they are activated will give you option to buy the FPP in starting 30 days.

Although a point to be noted is that Fitbit Protection Plan only works for Fitbit devices bought in U.S. Needless to say once you will have it (you can also get it from Fitbit online store) your warranty will be extended by a year period.
